Meeting Ground depends on volunteers to accomplish its work. Volunteering at Meeting Ground takes several forms, for individuals and organized groups. If you are interested in
volunteering, please consider the following questions, and then get in touch with us. We want very much to speak with you!

Even though you may not be familiar with our specific needs, we want to know if you have a particular skill or passion in doing - we want to match that with our needs, and the
more we know about you the better. Listed below are some suggested skills. It is not an all-inclusive list, so please include any special skills or interests you have:

Other examples of our current volunteer needs include:
Office/Administrative:
! Evening supervisor (One night per
week)
! Help prepare bi-monthly newsletter
Loaves and Fishes for mailing. (6 times/year)
! Photocopying, filing for Program (2
days/month)
Household /Driving:
! Help with taking Kitchen/Household
Inventory (weekly)
! Drive 15 passenger van to Elkton
Monday or Thursday mornings.
! Drive residents to in-county
medical/employment appointments. (on-call basis)
! Help with weekly Grocery Shopping
&/or Food Bank pick-ups
! Educational/Child Care (ideal would
be weekly or bi-weekly)
Teaching / Mentoring
! Teach Parenting Classes (Materials provided)
! Teach a Basic Personal Finance Class
! Teach Nutritional or Cooking Classes
! Child Care Thursday evenings
Recreational (One-time or monthly):
! Teach any type of Arts & Crafts
classes
! Organize special holiday events for
our community
! Field Trips for children

Volunteer Opportunities for Groups:
We have a long-standing program of work camps and mission trips. We host over 25 of these each year, from one-day projects to week-long work camps. We host these
throughout the year, but especially in the summer, spring, and fall. If your youth group, adult fellowship, inter-generational group, or any special group or organization would like
to come we would love to have you.
